Once upon a time ...
Once upon a time there was a farmer's son. he grew up in a poor area, in a family with many children. He had to work hard and there was only little time to play.
Although they worked really hard, his parents managed to give him a good education.
When political situation changed in his country, there was no work to find so he had to set off and find work elsewhere. With very little money in his pocket and an old motorcycle, he started his search.
Before he left, he had made some wooden toys for his two children in his little workshop. He took these toys with him and offered them to merchants along the way. Sometimes he had just enough money to "feed" his motorcycle and came home hungry.
But his efforts paid off. His handmade toys were well received by the merchants so he sold more and more. So it came to be that his little workshop was too small and he borrowed some money to buy a bigger one. He also didn't have enough time to make all the toys himself, so he started to give many of the talented and hard working people in his area "work and bread". Thus in just a few years the farmer's son turned into a factory owner employing more than 100 people.
His toys became very popular and today many children around the world enjoy playing with Hess-toys!
